The city of Louisville has a rich baseball tradition dating back to the iconic bat that bears its name (you know the one). The university shares some of that history; Louisville baseball is the school’s oldest athletic team, founded in 1909. The script “Cards” logo is a nod to vintage baseball uniforms.
